The Catera received a restyled front and rear treatment. A Sport package was now available with 17 inch tires. The Catera remained the entry-level Cadillac imported from Germany. Opel sold a version called the Omega. The Catera sales suffered from what some critics suggested was bland styling, something that failed with the Cimarron as well. The Catera was available in rear-wheel-drive which no other Cadillac sedan had. In 2002 the Catera would be replaced by the CTS. | |
